From the Director...

Tomorrow kicks off our first fund-raising drive, which we have named "$1 and 5 minutes."

Why did we name it that? Well, let me attempt to explain...

It's because we want you all to give $1, then spend 5 minutes challenging your entire online contact list to match your effort by donating $1 and asking THEIR entire contact list to match THEIR effort...and so on.

Think of it as "ripple giving." When you drop a rock into a pond, there's a splash, but the ripples go on, and on.

You can donate by visiting any of these sites tomorrow morning:

www.sharonantclifffoundation.org
www.beacaregiver.org
www.abuck.org

We need you to get involved! We understand charitable giving isn't as realistic for some as it is for others, but taking part in $1 and 5 minutes makes it simple and affordable to help. Chances are, you can find a spare $1 in your couch, or sitting on your dresser.

Please consider donating that buck, then emailing your friends, messaging your Facebook and Myspace contacts, or "tweeting" what you're doing, and asking for others to join you.

Our goal is $1600, which would allow us to become an official non-profit, opening a LOT of doors for us and our efforts. But if you do the math, it wouldn't take long for us to kill that number. $5,000? $7,500? It's possible.

I want to thank you in advance for your help. Getting this foundation moving is one of the most important things in my life, and your efforts will help me make it happen - while giving some families some MUCH needed help to make it through a tough situation.

From the bottom of my heart...thank you.
