The Sharon Antcliff Foundation is proud to announce our first recognition program, hoping to shine the light on some of our amazing supporters and volunteers. Each December, SAF will list the names of several deserving organizations, families, or individuals who have gone out of their way to help promote us as an organization, and as an important and growing cause. Winners will receive a custom plaque with their name, or the name of the organization they represent, and will be an honored guest at our annual fund raising and recognition dinner held each July. This year's True Warrior nominees: Avera Creative Avera Creative, a young and growing marketing and design firm has done every bit of web and promotional work that you've seen associated with SAF. Logos, web sites, images - everything. And they did it all for absolutely free. Without them, we can definitely say, we'd be nowhere. Avera designed and developed the logos and sites for www.abuck.org, www.beacaregiver.org, www.safwarriors.org, www.stealingthefutre.org, and the site that you're on, now. Nate Marquardt Nate was approached by our director through Facebook, on what he readily admits was a shot in the dark. We asked Nate if he'd be interested in helping us promote a local cause with national aspirations, and without hesitation, he agreed. All he asked in return was that it not take away time from his family. Since we added Nate's name to ours, we've walked through doors we likely would not have gotten through otherwise. Nate's class earned him the Tequilla Cazadores Spirit Award in August, and he named SAF as the beneficiary of a $1,000 gift as his award. Thanks to Nate, our Warrior program is firmly entrenched in the MMA community. Andrea Callahan Nobody associated with SAF has ever met Andrea, yet she's easily one of our most important supporters. Andrea has donated items for our Warrior Auction, purchased and worn our Proud Warrior clothing, and she is consistently re-posting and forwarding our Facebook pleas for assistance. Andrea's involvement with SAF has allowed us to add hundreds of hits to our web sites, and more volunteers to our stable of Warriors. You can vote for your favorite nominee through the poll found under our donation link on the left sidebar. You can only vote once per IP, so if you want your favorite to win, be sure to get others involved! Voting will end on Saturday, January 23, 2010, and the winner will be announced on Monday, January 25th, 2010. *not all may appear |
